Introduction
Qwizard hosts should be familiar with all of these tips to ensure that they are getting the maximum benefit from the system.
Music & Volume
Always test your music and audio at the start. If the music isn’t playing, despite the music indicator suggesting that it is on, then check your audio setup or perform a stop-and-start casting.
Automated cycle
The automated cycle of screens that runs at the start of your quiz and between rounds can be disrupted using the ROUNDS / PRIZES / TEAMS buttons on the ‘Dashboard’, or selecting PREV or NEXT between rounds. Be alert to your cycle stopping – it may indicate a Wi-Fi disruption. In this unlikely event, apply the Troubleshooting tips to resolve.
Pie Charts
If the pie charts appear all red or incorrect, you probably missed performing a SUBMIT after your scoring (and the subsequent warning message). Go back to that round and press SUBMIT.
Scoring
Remember that you can easily go back to adjust a team’s score from a prior round. Use Tools / Scoring to make these adjustments.
Teams
You can edit a team’s details or remove them at any time during a quiz. Removing a team that has left the quiz is useful to maintain the validity of the result.
Review Questions
This section under ‘Tools’ allows a host to review or read the full content of the quiz. Selecting each question will provide a full preview.
Question Repeats
If a team asks for a question to be repeated, you can use the SEARCH button to jump to that question, thus showing the question to all teams. Alternatively, you can locate and preview the questions under REVIEW QUESTIONS and show it to the team privately.
Alerts/Messages
The Qwizard app includes a range of alerts and warnings to support the user. Please be alert to these when they pop up and read them carefully – especially the warnings regarding finalising your quiz. They provide a great source of learning.
Summary
All hosts should familiarise themselves with the range of support and troubleshooting documents that Qwizard supply. Hosts should review all of the options under the ‘Home Menu’, including reading the ‘Help’ section and understanding the ‘Tools’ options. This will ensure hosts are getting the maximum benefit from the system.
